a message from the Coalition... Welcome to our website! On behalf of the Board President, Pauline Clarke-Trotman and professional staff we are glad that you have decided to spend some time learning about the Miami Coalition for the Homeless and our work in the community. The goal of our website is to serve an interactive portal of current information that pertains to advocacy, funding, and resource coordination for those living in poverty and experiencing homelessness. We have worked diligently to make our website an interactive one, so please feel free to send us feedback, if you would like to have information added that is currently not a part of our website. We also welcome you to support our advocacy and direct impact efforts by donating to the Coalition here on our web page. Again, enjoy your visit, consider linking to our page, and join us in spreading the word about the work of the Coalition. Advocacy - We send action alerts and give up-to-date legislative information on homelessness and affortable housing measures being considered in Tallahassee and Washington D.C. Emergency Assistance - We provide financial assistance to individuals and families that are at immediate risk of becoming homeless. Indoor Meals Program - Everyone deserves to have their basic needs met, such as the right to food. We support several faith based and secular organizations in providing food to those experiencing homelessness. Public Awareness - Using tools like the "Faces of Homelessness Speakers' Bureau" we educate the community on true issues surrounding homelessness, resulting in essential support and resources being provided to those in need. Youth Homelessness Initiative - If we as a community provide life skills, education, housing, healthcare, and employment to prevent youth homelessness.
