Advocacy - We send action  alerts and give up-to-date legislative information on homelessness and affordable housing measures being considered in Tallahassee and Washington D.C.

Emergency Assistance - We provide financial assistance to individuals and families that are at immediate risk of becoming homeless.

Public Awareness - Using tools like the "Faces of Homelessness Speakers' Bureau" we educate the community on true issues surrounding homelessness, resulting in essential support and resources being provided to those in need.

Youth Homelessness Initiative - If we, as a community, provide life skills, education, housing, health care, and other proactive means to work toward ending and preventing youth homelessness: we may one day reach this goal.

Thank you to all of our wonderful iCount Homeless Youth volunteers. You Rock!!

The Miami Coalition for the Homeless in partnership with Miami Dade County Homeless Trust and a number of youth and young adult focused organizations, are embarking on a first ever homeless and run away youth count in our community. Nationally these young people are considered some of the most vulnerable and hidden populations in need of services.  We are seeking to reach out and connect with these at risk, runaway or homeless youth individuals between the ages of 13 and 24, to learn how many there really are in Miami Dade and exactly how they view their needs, so that we can apply and hopefully obtain the grant support necessary to address their needs to prevent them from becoming homeless or to end their homeless state.
